mystery box

day one:

a note is found on the door from UPS saying they

tried to deliver a box for me but no one answered

the door. (must have been in the shower). i am 

completely clueless as to what it is cos i already got

the things i ordered. but i'm a bit excited cos i 

love surprises.

day two:

the note said UPS would return from 10-2 in the afternoon.

so i skip my shower & my walk & station myself on the couch.

i ended up sitting there till 4:40 in the arvo when momma poole

came home! so i figure, since she's home, i'll go on a quick 

walk & then shower. there's no way we'd miss it. as we walk

out the door at 7pm we discover another note from UPS! 

they had stopped by at 6pm & didn't ring the doorbell!

day three:

the last note said they would be there anywhere from 2-7.

but i can sign the back of the note & they'll leave the box

on the doorstep. so i post the note. & decorate the door

with notes saying someone is home & to ring the doorbell.

nothing. momma poole comes home. john comes home.

and at around 6pm we see the UPS go whizzing by. 

at 6:30, i take all the signs down but leave the note 

(with a nice outline of yellow tape) & come back at 8.

the note is still on the door, no new note & no box.

when i check the tracking number, UPS says they

stopped by but no one was home. 

final straw. i call the 1-800 number, explain what had 

happened, they apologise & say the earliest i can get it

is monday & that they'll send an email to the store. 10 min.

later, the store manager calls & apologises & says we can 

pick it up that night!!

so last night i finally got my mystery parcel. and

nothing could prepare me for it.
