this weekend was nuts! friday night the boys had band practice so us ladies & the bebes
went to the silk road night markets at the national museum! didn't actually get to see the
exhibition as it was packed & roaming around the stalls was tough enough with two prams
but we still had fun, we did get to see some belly dancing & fire twirling!
saturday we all headed down to jindabyne on a huge bus with four other bands to play
"jindiefest". the burley griffin played last year, the day after our wedding! its been nine
months since then & going back brought on some pretty saucy memories haha. this year
they did a really great job with setting up the villa & the bands they rounded up were a giddy
group! the night ended in hysterical laughter & sweat while we shook everything we had
to 'fun machine' hahaha
sunday we, us plus all the bands, went to 'perisher' for some snowboarding action! except....
that i definitely can't snowboard. i took the lift all the way to the top & once i strapped my
other foot in, i couldn't stand up! it was awful. i sat in the snow for half an hour. scooting
& shuffling down the hill. halfway down i unstrapped myself & used my board as a
toboggan. that was so much more fun that trying to snowboard. in the end, i let keren
use my board while i took emerald with tuli & the kids tobogganing. oh my. i'm suuuper
sore today. who knew that carrying a baby & a toboggan up a snowy hill would really
take it outta ya? plus trying to desperately stand up on a snowboard for half an hour
& soaking your bum cos of ripped snow pants, ayiyiyiiiiii!!!
it was a mighty good weekend all in all, my only regret is that i didnt take more photos!!
i was a bit nervous to take my camera out at the snow as it was blizzarding something fierce
but at least i snapped a photo of emerald after she passed out from her tobogganing adventure
hahaha
