i miss you

me and my dad in england.
me and my mom at my first birthday.
my brother, cody, and i in god knows where.
me, my mom, my cousin christi, uncle paul, and auntie julie. toguchi beach, okinawa, japan.
roller slide park out gate two. okinawa, japan
me and cody at okuma in okinawa, japan.
you know those times when you miss your parents and certain periods in

your childhood? i am having one of those times. and it can be a little hard.
i have such fond memories from all the places i have lived and visited. each
place holding a different smell, a different touch, a different kind of air. and i
want it to be easy and to go back but all i have are these photos and my memory
i am, in a way, used to missing family. i grew up away from all my relatives which
in some ways i am thankful for (even though i love them a lot). i can cope with
the distance and adapt to my surroundings quite easily. i try to be a good friend
and treat people as my brother, sister, father, mother or any other family member.

and i am thankful. thankful for the childhood i had. thankful for all the places
i got to see, the cultures i got to experience. i'm thankful for all the people who
became my family and raised me. i'm just thankful.
