taco puffs

my original plan was to make taco ring (my favourite meal from
kelcie's mom) but i couldn't find ready-made croissant rolls at woolies
so i opted for fillo pastries. but i realised after i opened them that maybe
i should have used puff pastries. in any case, these are something easy
& delicious to whip up.
- olive oil
- onions
- garlic
- coriander (or cilantro)
- mince
- taco seasoning
- fillo pastry (or preferably puff pastry)
- tomatoes
- lettuce
- cheese
- sour cream

- chop up some onions & garlic and toss em' in a pan of olive oil
till their delicious aromas waft up your nose. throw in your coriander
and mince. cook until your mince is brown.

- drain any fat, return it to the stove & add your taco seasoning
and a little bit of water. stir until the water is evaporated & the
  mince is thoroughly seasoned.

- take your fillo pastries & put about four layers down, buttering
every second one. dump a spoonful of taco mince into the middle
& fold/twist your pastry up & set it aside. do this until you run out
of mince or fillo or (hopefully) both OR if you use puff pastries, cut
them into quarters, place your taco mince inside, brush water on the
  edges & pinch close.

- place on a pan & put in the oven...maybe at 180, i'll let you decide
since most ovens are different. wait until they are golden brown or if
the fillo/puff pastry package tells you differently.

- once golden brown, remove from the oven & enjoy looking at your
beautiful taco pressies. once cool enough to eat, throw it into a bowl,
top with cheese (i always do cheese first so it melts), lettuce, tomato,
and a dollop of sour cream.

  and enjoy!!
