oh comely

i've been listening to a lot of neutral milk hotel. and 

i've heard a lot of inspiration for in the aeroplane over

the sea came from anne frank. this has sparked so many

ideas & questions in my head. i've even seen a comment in 

a forum saying that jeff magnum was in love with her. and

yeah maybe, i guess that could happen. judging from the lyrics, 

there's a small chance it could be true. if it is, its so terribly 

tragic. that unrequited love. i know that it would be the idea

of her rather than her herself....but it is still making me 

depressed.

this has led to my interest in the holocaust. did you know a lot

of people in america don't even know/believe that it happened?

i understand why they wouldn't. some teachers taught about the

holocaust in my high school. but none of the teachers i had taught

me. i only knew about it vaguely through movies & little displays 

i saw in other classrooms. now i'm looking up books to borrow from

the library about it. i feel so uneducated.
