memorial day weekend

 

i hope everyone had a fun weekend! gram & p.pa poole were in for 

the weekend from atlanta to see anna graduate. we had some yummy

eats, including my first time ever eating at cracker barrel (i had their

yummy french toast on sourdough. A+.)

after they left on sunday, we set up for badminton & played quite a few

games. so fun! we also had watermelon & strawberry daiquiris 

while making some of mama p's specialty pizzas. (mozza, goat, fontina, 

parmy, red bell pepz, tomatoes, basil, arugala, evoo, garlic & thyme 

all on top of a whole wheat pizza base!!)

yesterday we played more badminton, had a few games of dominoes,

 had jiffy burgers (this is a simple cheese burger with all your normal 

condiments plus peanut butter.) had katie check our teeth (she's in

grad school to become a dentist at the mo), & finished the weekend 

with the ultimate memorial day weekend movie. JAWS.

i love having these family times now. it makes me really sad that

i wasn't so happy about them when i was younger. damn my raging

teenage hormones. i appreciate them ten times more now.

i feel i should also mention that momma poole had us watch

some of her breast feeding videos (she's had to watch them

for her classes) & i'll just let you know that i'm basically a

breast feeding pro. (minus the fact that i have no experience &

dont want any for the next five years)
